With rumours circulating around the internet over the past few days, EA has decided to finally confirm the first season of Apex Legends and some brand new additions to the game.

For those unaware of seasons from other games such as Fortnite Battle Royale, a season is where brand new content is released regularly throughout the year, with each new season bringing brand new items to games. And in the case of Apex Legends, each season will bring with it some new Legends, new loot and special events that can change the Games.

The new Legend arriving this season is Octavio "Octane" Silva who will have an Adrenaline Junkie ability that will allow him to trade health for speed and an endless supply of Stim health regeneration. Furthermore, his Launch Pad Ultimate Ability will allow his squad to fly through the air with the greatest of ease.

Also confirmed is the first ever Battle Pass for Apex Legends which users can buy to be able to unlock and play with a large number of themed rewards. Moreover, users that don’t want to splash out on a Battle Pass will be able to earn and unlock a Wild Frontier Legend skin, five Apex Packs and 18 stats trackers for free as they play and level up.

The Battle Pass will reward you with an item for every level that you progress through which will include weapon skins, banner frames, XP boosts and more. The Battle Pass has over 100 rewards and players will have the entire season to earn all these rewards.

The Battle Pass is currently available from the Alex Legends in-game shop for just 950 Apex Coins (roughly £7.99 / $10). Users can also look forward to earning Apex Coins as they level through the Battle Pass so that you could potentially purchase the next Battle Pass without having to spend any more money on the game. This could potentially be done for every single Battle Pass after this, meaning you wouldn’t have to pay money for a Battle pass again after their first purchase. Additionally, users looking to gain a slight boost can choose to buy the Battle Pass bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins which will unlock the first 25 Battle Pass levels (including their rewards) straight away.

This will sound extremely similar to users that play Fortnite Battle Royale regularly as the main aspects of the Battle Pass are essentially the same as the Fortnite Battle Pass (including the same price for the Battle Pass and the same idea behind the buddle).

Apex Legends is currently available as a free to download game on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Will you be getting the Battle Pass and are you looking forward to trying out the new Legend in-game?
